Pink Breakfast Smoothie

It’s amazing how bright and beautiful something can be with just a few natural ingredients! This pink breakfast smoothie is so summery and delicious, i love the colour of it!. I added some peanut butter to give the smoothie some essential fat and protein, and cucumber for some hidden green goodness. I nearly always use bananas in my smoothies as they give them a thick creamy texture and are a great source of slow release energy. I have tried this with both raspberries and strawberries and have loved it with both but it has an amazing dark pink colour if you use a combination of raspberries and blueberries (as shown in the photo above). With strawberries you get a lighter pink colour as shown below!

INGREDIENTS:

1 frozen banana

100g raspberries, strawberries, blueberries (fresh or frozen)

1 tbsp peanut butter

150ml unsweetened almond milk

10cm cucumber

2 tsp Indigo Herbs Super Vital Powder

METHOD:

  • Simply blend everything together and pour into a glass, preferably over ice
  • Sprinkle some milled linseed over the smoothie if you like, for a little added fibre and omega-3!
