I love my superfoods and vegan protein powders so jumped at the opportunity to contribute some of my recipes to an amazing new offering from Goodyfull. Goodyfull in their own words ‘was created because we believe that everyone is entitled to a happy, healthy and positive lifestyle. We celebrate all those who understand what is wonderful and beneficial about a blissful and balanced life and are taking all the right steps to achieve it’. They offer a wide selection of wholefoods including raw cacao powder (my favourite), acai berry powder and chia seeds at affordable prices. Check out their website HERE to view the amazing superfoods they offer!

The latest creation by Goodyfull is the amazing Goody Gift Sack which consists of a hessian sack filled with a selection of their best superfoods, 12 recipe cards (4 of which are mine!) and 4 vegan protein powder sachets from one of my favourite protein brands Missfits Nutrition At £45 (currently on offer for £35) it is such a brilliant idea and makes the perfect gift for any foodie! If you have a friend or family member who is new to superfoods there could not be a better gift available, the 12 simple, healthy recipes provide an amazing starting point for creating healthy treats!

The Goody Gift Sack contains some of my favourite superfoods; acai berry powder, cacao powder, matcha powder chia seeds and goji berries! They are the perfect ingredients for smoothie or to use when baking if you are feeling a bit more experimental! I love using cacao powder over the over-processed cocoa powder found in supermarkets as it is much higher in antioxidants and is a rich source of magnesium, potassium, iron and zinc. One of the recipes featured in the hessian bag is my Peanut Butter Brownie Cupcakes which their cacao powder is perfect for. As a major chocoholic I was so happy that the gift sack contains cacao! I have only recently started using acai powder and I can’t believe how tasty it is in smoothies or nicecream bowls! It also turns everything it is added to into a beatiful dark purple colour. Acai is such a fantastic superfood as it is high in antioxidants, fibre, Vitamin A, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Matcha powder (green tea) is also one of my smoothie favourites as I find it wakes me up quickly but without the nasty jitters or caffeine crash caused by coffee. It is also a great metabolism booster so makes a perfect pre-workout drink (try my matcha latte recipe HERE). Chia seeds are amazing little seeds that are high in fibre, protein and omega 3 fatty acids. Soaked in water they can add as a binder, replacing eggs in vegan recipes. I often add them to my smoothies, cakes and cookies for added texture and fibre. The gift sack also contains dried goji berries which are full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals but best of all they taste amazing! I have so many different goji berry brands but these are by far my favourite. Where many brands are over-dried and tasteless, the Goodyfull goji berries are deliciously sweet and chewy.

The Goodyfull gift sack also contains 4 vegan pea protein powder sachets from the brand Missfits Nutrition called ‘the multitasker’ because you can pretty much add them to anything! They are vegan, GMO free, gluten free and dairy free and come in mixed berry, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. My favourite so far is the mixed berry flavour (shown in the smoothie bowl photo below), I haven’t been able to find a decent vegan berry protein powder until now so i was so pleased when I tried Missfits’ creation! At under 80 calories each they are some of the best tasting protein powders I have ever tried, making them perfect for post-workout shakes or added to oats, smoothies, cakes or cookies!
